Let the stoics say what they please, we do not eat for the good of living, but because the meat is savory and the appetite is keen.-Ralph Waldo Emerson
Last night, we cooked a simple yet delightful meal for our friends Holly, Josh, Becky and Michael. Heather made Bea's amazing Nopale salsa while I barbequed a selection of taco fillings.
Queso Fresco
Barbequed Shrimp
Carne Asada
Now that our backyard is all tuned up, it's pretty much the only place we find ourselves hanging out right now. And dining al fresco on our homemade table only adds to the pleasure of the meal. Bon Appétit!

How did you make the shimp and the meat? They look delicious.
Hi Katie. Thanks! Heather marinated the shrimp in a little olive oil, salt and pepper. The carne asada comes marinated from a great Argentine market in L.A. called Catalina's Market. You just BBQ the shrimp till they turn pink and cook the meat for a few minutes on each side.
Loved this meal, mon.
Great...Proud of both of you... keep on enjoying LIFE....MTL
Love the gorgeous look to this food. Wish I was there!!! xo
